Aix-Noulette, France

Private Ellwyne Ballantyne, 802423, from the 4th Battalion of the CEF, has a grave marker in Aix-Noulette Communal Cemetery Extension. It's a peaceful plot near Lens, France. A coworker of mine who lives in Belgium made the trek to this French cemetery and he kindly sent me some incredible photographs that he captured while there. The morning he visited, frost covered the markers, almost standing at attention in the glow of the sunrise.
