Ellwyne Ballantyne's life has fascinated me since I first learned of his life story, first through a newspaper article, and then through the memories shared with me by ancestors who knew him. I have spent months writing about his life. Today, I donated in memory of him with the Digital Poppy Foundation. To him and the millions of others who gave their lives, I remember.
