I grew up in London, Ontario. Back when it was a statutory holiday for all, I went to most Remembrance Day ceremonies at the cenotaph in the downtown core, rain, snow, or shine. I found this podcast describing how Londoners have remembered World War One veterans. You can listen to it here.
VIEW OF TRAINING CAMP AT CARLING HEIGHTS (OR WOLSELEY BARRACKS), CA. 1920
This view of the training camp at Wolseley Barracks shows the extent of the military operations on the old Carling farm; today, this property is home to groceries chain Superstore and development area for private residences and businesses. The photo was most likely captured from the roof of Wolseley Barracks during one of summer training concentrations held right after the First World War.
